Objective To explore the effect of team-based education on the education of patients with polycystic ovary syndrome. Methods Ninety patients with PCOS from June 2012 to October 2014 were divided into observation group (45 cases) and control group (45 cases) by random number table. The control group received conventional diabetes prevention education and management. The observation group used the authorization theory as the guideline for diabetes prevention education. The intervention time was 2 years. Before intervention, 1 year after the end of intervention, 2 years after the end of intervention, the patient’s anthropometric indexes, metabolic correlation Indicators and diabetes prevention self-management capabilities. Results After intervention, body mass index, fasting blood glucose, oral glucose tolerance test 2h blood glucose and diabetes prevention self-management ability was significantly better in the observation group than in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusions The implementation of management education guided by empowerment theory in patients with PCOS can enhance the awareness of self-management and improve the metabolic status of patients.
