[Objective] To study the anti-gout effects of CORTEX PHELLODENDRI and its different processed products.[Method] Effects of CORTEX PHELLODENDRI and its processed products on concentration of uric acid and creatinine in the serum and joint swelling index were investigated in rats by injection under gavage with corresponding extracts.[Result] Compared with positive control group,CORTEX PHELLODENDRI and its processed products could significantly reduce contents of uric acid and creatinine in model rats of hyperuricemia,and resist joint swelling in model rats of acute gouty arthritis.[Conclusion] CORTEX PHELLODENDRI and its processed products showed varying degrees of anti-gout effects which were little influenced by different processing methods.
