本区在大地构造位置上,位于天山纬向复杂构造带内,北天山地槽海西褶皱带的东段,区内广泛发育着一套石炭系的火山岩。根据近年来的野外观察和室内综合整理,我们认为本区的火山岩是一套富钠的岩石,由细碧角斑岩建造和钙碱性火山岩组成,是寻找铁铜矿产的一个有远景的地区。现将中石炭统火山岩的层序、岩石化学与铁铜矿产的成矿条件简述如下,不当之处,请同志们批评指正。 (一)火山岩的层序本区以酸性和中性火山岩为主,基性火山岩为次,同时还有正常的海相沉积岩。我队在以铜铁为主的普查找矿工作中,曾对该套火山岩喷发旋回进行划分,现以沙泉子以
