南朝铭文数量颇多,然而成就突出者则较少。就功能而言,铭文侧重于述德颂功或警戒世人。从语言形式上来看,以四言韵语为主,兼有少量六言或七言。与时文风气完全相合,南朝铭文以骈体行文,追求藻绘、用事、声律及对仗等形式技巧,体现出很高的审美价值。南朝文人过于强调铭文的审美价值,相应地,其实用价值在很大程度上被弱化。 There are a large number of inscriptions in the Southern Dynasties, but those with outstanding achievements are fewer. From the perspective of the language form, the four-rhyme rhyme is dominant, with a small amount of six or seven words. And the style of writing is completely consistent with the Southern Dynasties inscriptions to the body of the text, the pursuit of algae painting, the use of things, the law of sound and on the battle and other forms of expression, reflecting the high aesthetic value. The writers in the Southern Dynasty over-emphasized the aesthetic value of the inscriptions. Accordingly, their practical value was weakened to a large extent.
