五山文学是日本中世由临济宗的禅僧所创作的汉诗文的总称,被誉为日本汉文学史上的一大黄金时期。其创作者五山禅僧崇尚并研习中国文学,具有高度的汉文学及艺术修养。他们狂热地渴求中土文化,咏作了大量中国题材,“潇湘八景”便是其中之一。五山文学中的潇湘八景诗受到中国文学的影响,又充满独特的韵味与情趣,倾诉着禅僧们在乱世中的渴念与追求。
Wushan literature is the general term of Chinese poetry and writing made by Zen monks in Japan in the Middle Ages in Japan and is regarded as a golden age in the history of Japanese Chinese literature. Its founder Wu Shan Zen monk advocates and studies Chinese literature, with a high degree of Chinese literature and artistic accomplishment. They fanatically crave the culture of the Middle East, chanting a large number of Chinese themes, “Xiaoxiang eight” is one of them. The five poems of Xiaoshan in Wushan literature are influenced by Chinese literature. They are also full of unique charm and taste, and they also show the thirst and pursuit of the monks in troubled times.
