由山东莱州市金海种业有限公司作物研究所选育的玉米杂交新品种金海5号,最近,以位居全国玉米区试黄淮海区第一位的优势,分别通过山东省、北京市农作物品种审定委员会审定。金海5号杂交种株型紧凑,株高245厘米,根系发达,茎秆粗壮。夏播生育期105天。全株叶片19～20片,叶色浓绿,活秆成熟。果穗长筒形,穗行数16行,穗轴线红色,子粒黄色,偏马齿型,千粒重327克。经河北省农科院植保所进行的抗病性鉴定:中抗大、小叶斑病,抗弯孢菌叶斑病,青枯病,高抗玉米黑
