Recently, the Steel Pipe Association convened the steel pipe industry management and market analysis meeting in Yantai, and representatives of the relevant departments of the China Iron and Steel Association and 44 domestic steel pipe production enterprises attended the meeting. The conference discussed the current production, operation and market conditions of the steel pipe industry. In order to ensure the stability of the domestic steel pipe market, participating companies reached consensus on market space during the year. Huang Jinqian, deputy secretary of the China Iron and Steel Association and director of the market research department, informed the participating companies about the production and operation of China’s steel industry this year. It was pointed out that according to the analysis of the situation, the consumption of steel products in China will likely exceed 155 million tons this year, a year-on-year increase of around 10% to 15%, which will become a key factor in stabilizing domestic steel prices. Jin Qiangan introduced that at a recent economic seminar, Chinese and foreign experts agreed that as China’s consumption structure is domestic demand, the growth of the US economy has slowed down.
