This article first explores the influence of second person pronouns on translation activities in personal instructions. The original method of combining second person with other personal pronouns is generally used to achieve a rhetorical purpose, and the way of translation in the translation will certainly affect the coherence of discourse. After a detailed analysis of one such translation example, it is pointed out that the solution to the problem is to try to omit the personal pronoun subject in the Chinese translation and use the main clause. Secondly, it explores the influence of cooperation and politeness principle on translation activities, and further points out that the conversational meaning confronting the translator may not be as simple and clear as the one discussed in linguistics (only in violation of the principle of a cooperative principle). Finally, the “extraterritorial force” is proposed, often “manifest” translation.
