日本铃木公司研制成一种具有调湿功能的建筑瓷砖,其主要原料是SiO_280%以上,质地坚硬的硅藻变质泥岩.其制作方法是将硅藻变质泥岩与粘土、石膏混合后,在800℃下烧制.调湿功能最佳的配比为硅藻变质泥岩8,粘土2.实验表明,这种瓷砖在湿度60%时的吸湿率为4.5%,改变湿度至80%时,吸湿率提高到8%,吸湿率之差为3.5%.当湿度恢复到60%时,吸湿率重新变成4.5%.吸湿率之差越大,表明吸入放出水分的功能即调湿功能越大.保温
