Faulkner’s work is full of rich local characteristics, and Faulkner’s novels reveal a little bit about the “stamp-size” land consciously or unconsciously A writer and the southern American society of the early twentieth century provided a good perspective of observation. The article analyzes Faulkner’s novels and American Puritan culture from three aspects: the suppression of women by Puritan culture, the Puritan culture and the solidification of American southern class, and Faulkner’s affirmation of the positive significance of Puritan culture.
