近年来发现瘦素(LP)在参与能量平衡控制的同时,与机体糖脂代谢的调节也密切相关,主要体现在LP与胰岛素以及肥胖的关系方面。胰岛β细胞可表达瘦素受体,提示LP在胰腺中发挥重要作用,LP本身亦可通过调节与糖代谢有关的酶类抑制肝糖原生成,同时可能引起胰岛素抵抗;LP通过控制食物摄入和调节能量代谢来加速积聚脂肪的分解,但多数肥胖者存在LP抵抗且其产生机制目前尚无定论。所以,LP的表达异常可能也参与了糖尿病、肥胖及脂质代谢紊乱的发生。
