作为阴道避孕药对盐酸异丙嗪的毒理和安全性进行研究，以冀进一步评估其临床应用价值。向实验组金黄地鼠阴道灌入异丙嗪（１０ｇ／Ｌ）０．１ｍ ｌ，每日１ 次，２０ｄ 后取阴道上皮作组织切片，光镜观察形态学变化，未见有损伤和炎症反应。ＰＡＳ反应染色呈强阳性，对上皮细胞的糖原合成无影响。经乳酸杆菌培养药敏试验，该药对乳酸杆菌的生长无抑制作用。ＳＤ孕鼠的７～１５ｄ，每日灌服１１ｍ ｇ／ｋｇ 药物，未见胚胎毒和畸胎毒效应。表明该药安全可靠，对临床推广应用有重要价值
