以龙永煤田培丰勘探区为例，主要探讨采用时间序列粒度分析曲线在地层对比中的应用，即根据岩石粒度绘出的粒度曲线进行地层对比，可以避免因地层中化石和其它岩矿特征不明确所导致的对比困难或错位，对于勘探中取得更为准确的地质资料具有重要的意义。
