He helped us break the deeply rooted tradition of humanism in the West and boldly challenge the seemingly unchangeable cultural concept. His Theory of Deconstruction has a great influence on contemporary Western literary criticism because contemporary literary theory places more emphasis on the philosophy implied in literary works than on its structure or form.
