The calcination of lithium mica in air and in the presence of a large amount of water vapor was studied. The effects of atmosphere, time and temperature on the defluorination rate, as well as the relationship between the defluorination rate and the leaching rate of lithium were discussed emphatically, and the mechanism of defluorination reaction was discussed
