                                新加坡政府在1997年提出了“思考的学校,学习的国家”学校教育的总体目标。其具体内容包括三个方面:思考技能、信息技术和国民教育。它们直接影响新加坡教育的各个方面,包括小学数学课程及其教学。1998年,新加坡教育部推出了试行的小学数学教学大纲,力求贯彻“思考技能”的精神。2000年,新加坡教育部又颁布了正式的小学数学教学大纲,明确了小学数学课程所需要培养的“思考技能”的具体目标,其中包括分类、比较、排序、分析部分与整体、识别模式与关系、归纳、演绎、空间想象等八个方面。这八个方面的目标具体内涵如下——
In 1997, the Singapore government put forward the overall goal of “school of thought, country of study” in school education. Its specific content includes three aspects: thinking skills, information technology and national education.
