It seems that no country in the world is as fond of the notion of “being on the ground” as China does. When the concept of “on the shelf” began to appear in the commentary, it was really unclear for some time. Originally, the meaning of the word EASEL in English is not much, but in our present thesaurus, it already has a general term for the plane painting and indoor sculpture coverage. In addition, one of the academic topics of the Chengdu Biennale in 2001 is “the possibility of framing the art.” It seems that the issue of “framing” can not but evolve from a purely material issue to a cultural one.
