Starting from the middle and later Yangshao period, out of the idea of land worship, it has become a common practice in the Yellow River valley to lay the foundation stone for the building construction. During the Yongsan Culture, the distribution of the foundation of the building foundation continued to expand, but the plains of the Lo River in the middle reaches of the Yellow River have been the distribution center. In the late Yangshao period, with the advent of prehistoric sites, the founding relics in the rammed earth of the wall appeared in the Yellow River Basin, marking a new stage in the foundation-laying custom development. According to the archaeological findings and ethnographic materials, we can see that the urn coffin, which is located in some places such as the rammed earth in the wall, under the wall of the house, or under the living surface, may be the product of the foundation laying ceremony or sacrifice when it is not a general grave , Its purpose is nothing more than to sacrifice to comfort ghosts and gods in order to build a stable.
