新中国以后,中共几代领导人都十分重视少数民族问题,按照马克思主义处理民族问题的基本原则,把发展民族经济作为建立民族平等和加强民族团结的基础。他们在阐述发展民族经济的重要性、明确发展的基本思路、推行具体的措施等方面都提出了一些理论和政策主张,对当前我国少数民族地区经济社会的全面发展具有重要的指导意义。 Since the founding of New China, several generations of CPC leaders have attached great importance to the issue of ethnic minorities. In accordance with the basic principles of Marxism in handling ethnic issues, they have taken the development of national economy as the basis for establishing ethnic equality and strengthening national unity. They have put forward some theoretical and policy proposals in explaining the importance of developing the national economy, clarifying the basic ideas of development and implementing concrete measures, which are of guiding significance to the overall economic and social development of our ethnic minority areas.
