After several centuries of change, the United Kingdom now has several different occupational lawyers, including courtroom lawyers, solicitors and royal counselors. The focus of these lawyers’ work is different, and they require different professional knowledge. Together, they form an organic whole of British lawyers. In the light of the controversy that there is a need to merge the two kinds of professional appearances in court and solicitors at present, this paper studies the evolution of the British lawyer system from a historical point of view, and introduces some characteristics of the British legal education and lawyer training related to it. The merger of people can not be completed overnight conclusion.
