2007-2009年,针对新疆准噶尔南缘地区植被严重退化的现状和防护林树种选择的要求,结合该地区的环境特点和生产实践,首先通过专家打分法选出银×新(Populus alba and P.bolleana)、转基因抗盐碱杨、北美速生杨1号、北美速生杨2号、转基因抗虫杨、辽育杨、黑核桃、水曲柳、夏橡、芬兰桦、榛子作为参试树种,选择生态适应性、生态功能和经济性状3个评价因素及10个评价因子构成准噶尔南缘地区防护林树种适宜性评价指标体系,运用层次分析法确定指标权重,利用指数和法对准噶尔南缘地区11种防护林树种进行适宜性评价,利用适宜物种选择的综合评价模型,从参试树种中筛选出银×新、水曲柳(Fraxinus mandshurica)、夏橡(Quercus robur)、黑核桃(Juglans nigia)、榛子(Corylus heterophylla)5种适宜的优良树种用于该地区生态防护林建设。对于北美速生杨1号、北美速生杨2号和辽育杨这3个参评树种,其速生性都很好,可以继续进行适种试验或作为替补树种少量种植。
