For more than 90 years, Outotec (formerly Lurgi Metallurgie, Lurgi Metallurgical Company) has been providing technical solutions to the steel industry and has taken a leading position in the field of iron ore sintering and pellet production. Outotec’s goal is to achieve sustainable use of the planet’s natural resources. To this end, the company continues to improve technology. Energy Optimized Agglomeration features heat recovery and exhaust gas recycling (EOS-Emissions Optimized Sintering) during sintering to increase energy efficiency in the pellet process, thereby reducing the need for Integrated discharge of the entire process chain from ore to metal.
