We illustrate an example of a technique that uses a variety of seismic attributes to combine single 3-D seismic monitoring measurements with offset baseline measurements to distinguish between heated reservoirs and unheated reservoirs. 3-D seismic monitoring has accurately mapped the vapor heating zones of two different geographical locations (over 150 wells) in the cold lakes area. Based on these images, infill wells were drilled where the reservoir had not been heated 10 years after steam injection.
