Awakening is the representative work of Kate Chopin, a 19th-century American feminist writer whose main character, Edna, is a woman who has awake self-awareness and strives for self-seeking. As a woman, Edna worked hard in patriarchal society to seek subjective consciousness and independent personality, and then unequal cultural and social moral resistance. From the perspective of Freudian psychoanalysis, this paper explores the complexities of his experience from awakening to death under the influence of the triple personality, ie, self, self and super ego. Psychological process. In spite of this, Edna’s death can not be simply regarded as a failure of confrontation with traditional norms, but rather as Edna’s newborn.
