武汉市在中学进行地理科普活动是结合第二课堂活动由点到面逐步铺开的。近六年来,我市地理科普活动有了很大发展,有的区(如洪山区)已达到了基本普及的程度,总结一下我们走过的历程是有一定意义的。一、弄清中学教育目的是能否开展中学地理科普活动的关键。在单纯升学观的影响下,由于小学升初中、初中升高中、高中理科班学生升大学都不考地理,当然就不会重视地理这门学科,更谈不上地理科普活动了。重知识轻实践,重智力轻能力的现象随处可见。因此,尽管武汉市区初中都开了地理课,但对开展科普地理活动思想阻力很大,为此,
