Studies have shown that peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma and uncoupling protein 2 are involved in the pathogenesis of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Peroxisome proliferator activated receptor gamma and insulin resistance and adipocytokines are closely related. Decoupling protein 2 also regulates insulin secretion, limiting reactive oxygen species production, regulating ATP synthesis and the like. To elucidate the link between peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ, uncoupling protein 2 and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease is helpful to further prevent and treat non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.
