This article is concerned about the formation of the colonial political system in Indochina after the establishment of French Indochinese Federation in the 19th century.The focal point of this article is on the colonial policy and economic development in Indochina.Moreover,by comparing with other colonialist powers,the main characteristics and impacts of the French colonial regime in Indochina are analysed.
