■ The Greatest Breeze From July 14 to July 18, navies from six countries such as the United States, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Greece, Romania and Turkey were held in the waters southwest of the Black Sea, not far from Sevastopol A five-day “Breeze 2003” annual joint exercise. The troops participating in the exercise consisted of 22 surface ships from the above six countries. The “Breeze · 2003” exercise was the largest military exercise by the U.S. military in the Black Sea since the end of the Cold War.
