What is teaching and research? I believe that teachers in primary and secondary schools are mostly familiar. However, what is the true meaning of teaching and research? This problem does not seem to be easy to say. Usually, primary and secondary school teachers may understand teaching and research as specific forms such as collective lesson preparation, listening to class assessments, class teaching, and on-line seminars. This is of course true. However, to truly understand the content of teaching and research, it is not enough to understand the form of teaching and research. Let us first review the historical development and establishment process of China’s basic education and teaching development. The degree of teaching development that is ubiquitous in our basic education system can be said to be the Chinese characteristic of our educational system, regardless of the level of teaching and research institutions at all levels.
