早年我就知晓廖连贵是一位有着知名度的人物画家,其人物画在国内产生了很好的反响,很多作品已被中外人士收藏,我却并没有亲睹他的画作。近期我重回昔日生活过的小院子湖北美术院,拜访老画家廖连贵。他虽年逾古稀,但其神思与精神给我的印象却至多是才过六十花甲的老人。寒喧之后,他拿出他已出版的六本画集,打开成捆的绘画原作给我阅读欣赏,我顿时产生一种怡悦的快感,感到他是一位未曾发掘的大画 In the early years, I knew that Liao Lianghui was a well-known figure painter.
