Meishan Iron Ore is a large-scale blind ore body, using bottomless pillar caving method. However, in the early stage of mining, due to the unclear geological boundary at the top of the ore body, after the first and second intervals of mining, there was a stable 3 to 4 meters thick surface off-grade ore on the top, so the roof must be forced to break down to form a rock cushion To meet the requirements of extrusion blasting, ore drawing and safety. (A) Geological Profile Large blind ore body was nearly horizontal lenticular output, along the long axis of 1200 meters long, 850 meters wide, with an average thickness of 147 meters, the middle of the maximum thickness of 293 meters. The burial depth of the orebody is -35 ~ -489 meters, the first sub-elevation is -70 meters. The ore body top plate consists of andesite and a few secondary quartzite, with a thickness of 100-344 meters, an average of 222 meters. Near ore rock
