Martin Camp is a world-renowned art historian and the study of Leonardo da Vinci is second to none in Western history. This paper systematically studies the achievements of Leonardo da Vinci’s physiology and engineering, and the relationship between the two. In his opinion, Leonardo da Vinci’s treatment of the body and the machine is not much different from the mechanics point of view to analyze the structure of the human body, but also from the principle of biological function to design, behind the laws of nature are universal. This essay is a chapter of Professor Camp’s monograph on Leonardo da Vinci, to be revised and published. In line with this topic, Professor Camp has made some changes to make it an independent document.
