以TM影像和历史地形图为基础 ,分析北京城市空间扩展规律。近百年来北京的城市扩展可分为 3个阶段 :2 0世纪上半叶 ,城市扩展十分缓慢 ,过渡带范围相当狭小 ;195 0年代到1980年代初 ,城市扩展明显加快 ,过渡带扩展速度明显快于核心区 ;1980年代中期以后 ,城市扩展最为快速 ,过渡带发展成为城市地域中一个不可或缺的宽广实体 ,城市空间结构与 2 0世纪初时有了很大不同。
