根据油松毛虫、落叶松毛虫、赤松毛虫春季上树,由老龄到幼龄针叶逐次取食的规律,通过化蛹后,按不同为害程度摘取各标准树上的虫茧,并分别称重、计算,以所剩针叶的最高叶龄,来描述松毛虫的为害程度。从而分析了油松的不同为害程度对松毛虫蛹重的影响,揭示出食料的限制与松毛虫种群增长的关系,为害虫的综合管理,提供了科学的依据。
