The changes in the relations between China and Vietnam in the 1970s came as a surprise. In two short decades, the two countries turned from a brother who belched their brains to an enemy who did not share a common destiny. Among the many factors that contributed to this drastic change, the Soviet Union can not be ignored. The Soviet Union’s adjustment of the policies of the third world led to changes in its policy towards Vietnam. In the Vietnam issue, it turned from a detached attitude toward a positive aid. The two countries have contradictions over the Vietnam aid issue. For its own national interests, In favor of its propensity to pursue its own policies, Viet Nam turned to the Soviet side on the balance of Sino-Soviet relations. At the same time, the Soviet Union has adjusted its policy on the socialist camp and the Sino-Soviet relations have been ruptured, thus affecting the trend of Sino-U.S. Relations. The Sino-U.S. Compromise has had many negative effects on the Sino-Vietnamese relations. The vicious relations between the two countries have intensified and the conflicts have been escalating and escalating, eventually leading to China and Vietnam are in full-scale tension and serious opposition and the relations between the two countries have undergone dramatic changes. In short, the Soviet Union’s global offensive and strategic policy has a far-reaching impact on the current Sino-Vietnamese relations.
