A new species of Lycium (Hymenoptera) is described, Lyonetia eriobotryaesp. Nov. This article provides the adult shape, cocoon and larvae Hazmat photos and male and female external genital anatomy. Mode specimens preserved in Institute of Zoology Chinese Academy of Sciences. Adults produce eggs on the opposite edges of the loquat leaves, located between the inner and outer epidermis. After hatching, the eggs are moth-eaten at the base of the leaves and are eaten into the shoots along the main vein of the leaves, causing the shoots to die and seriously affecting the growth and firmness of the loquat. Mature larvae climb to the back of a new leaf knot a white silk cocoon, in which pupa. Monju County in Yunnan Province loquat victimization rate of 80% to 90%. The insects occurred in Mengzi, Yunnan for several generations in 1 year and overlapped in generations. Loquat moth, new species Lyonetia eriobotryaesp. Nov. (Figure 1 ~ 8) positive model ♂, deputy model 5 ♂♂, 5 ♀♀, Mengzi County, Yunnan Province, 2005-07-10, Wu Chunsheng, Li Zhengyue mining. The genitalia of the new species is very similar to L. clerkella (Linnaeus), but there is no mid-ventricular end point on the anterior wing of the adult, the small quadruped shape of the male genitalia (the large biplane) Female external genital cysts were significantly longer than the peach moth. The adult pattern is similar to the L. anthemopa meeyrick (also distributed in Japan) from Taiwan. However, the new species has a long forelimb with a long cyst protruding from the female genitalia External genital capsule-free). Etymology: The new species name comes from the generic name of the host plant.
