In ancient Greek mythology, there are two goddesses in charge of love and beauty: the oldest one from Aphrodite, who is called heaven, and the young, Zeus and Dionysian, Aphrodite on the ground. Accordingly, love is divided into two kinds: love of heaven and love of earth. Pure and precious love in heaven is the love that people desire and pursue from their hearts and are noble love. The love of the earth, on the other hand, is contaminated with more secular symbols, symbolizing the inalienable connection between love and dust, and the substance and the lust involved in it. Therefore, people regard it as a vulgar love. The novel “Paper Marriage” tells us the story of a “love in heaven” becoming “earthly love”.
