日本庆应义塾大学理工系小池康博教授和日立化成工业共同开发用塑料光纤取代玻璃光纤用于光通讯材料和信息处理机中。这种塑料光纤材料与玻璃光纤不同,传像具有二重性的性质,所透过的光线不紊乱,传过的像初步可以控制。塑料比玻璃价格便宜,加工容易,所开发的塑料光纤新材料用来取代玻璃光纤,用作光学仪器部件,据说,期待在透镜和高精密液晶显示等方面广泛应用。
Professor Keio University at Keio University Professor Koike Koike and Hitachi Chemical Industry jointly develop plastic optical fiber to replace glass optical fiber for optical communication materials and information processors. This plastic optical fiber material and glass fiber is different, the image has the dual nature of the light through the chaos, like the initial transmission can be controlled. Plastic is cheaper than glass and easy to process. The new plastic optical fiber materials developed are used to replace glass optical fibers and are used as optical instrument components. It is said that they are expected to be widely used in lenses and high-precision liquid crystal displays.
