通过分析非英语专业学生英译汉情况,得出对英语习语知识缺乏应有的了解是影响大学生翻译能力的主要因素的观点。具体表现在四个方面:对英语习语所产生的环境知识缺乏了解,对英语习语所负载的文化信息了解不透彻,对英语习语的多义性以及对英语习语中的“似是而非”现象概念模糊。因此,大学英语教学应在重视语言基础知识教学的同时,要加强对英语国家文化背景知识的传授,以便进一步提高大学生的综合翻译能力。
By analyzing the English-Chinese translation of non-English majors, it is concluded that the lack of proper knowledge of English idioms is the main factor that affects the translation ability of college students. It is embodied in four aspects: the lack of understanding of the environmental knowledge generated by English idioms, the lack of understanding of the cultural information loaded by English idioms, the polysemy of English idioms, and the plausibleness of English idioms. "The phenomenon is blurry. Therefore, college English teaching should pay more attention to the teaching of language basic knowledge, and it is necessary to strengthen the teaching of English culture background knowledge in order to further improve the college students’ comprehensive translation ability.
