Luzhou Iron Lion stands in the ruins of the ancient city of Jiuzhou in Hebei Province for more than a thousand years. It was cast in the later three years of Guangshun (AD 953) and is the largest cast iron art in China in its early history. It is of great value in the study of the history of smelting, sculpture, and history of Buddhism in China. In March 1961, the State Council announced the first batch of key cultural relics protection units in the country. As the iron lions have been subjected to wind and rain erosion for thousands of years, coupled with the low ground, water immersion, corrosion is severe, in particular, severely deformed legs and feet, the Millennium National Treasure has been in jeopardy. 1984-11
