在室内27℃恒温条件下,用小麦、大豆、花生、玉米4种作物的幼苗饲喂二点委夜蛾,观察和研究了4种作物对其生长发育的影响。结果表明,二点委夜蛾幼虫发育龄期,小麦、大豆、玉米3种作物饲喂,其幼虫只有6龄,而花生饲喂其幼虫有6、7、8龄;世代历期差异,花生饲喂最长,达44.8 d,小麦饲喂最短,为32.5 d;幼虫体重差异,末龄幼虫第2天体重以4、麦饲喂的最重,其次是大豆,玉米饲喂的体重最轻;蛹重差异,以小麦、大豆饲喂的最重,玉米饲喂的最轻:单雌成虫产卵量以饲喂小麦的产卵量最多,达262粒,其次是大豆,达243粒,玉米饲喂的最少,只有136粒:卵孵化率,以饲喂小麦的孵化率最高,达92%,其次是大豆,以花生最低,只有46%。雌成虫寿命,小麦、大豆为12.7 d,花生、玉米分别为11.7 d和11.4 d。
