The Sulige gas field in Ordos Basin is a typical low-porosity and low-permeability tight sandstone gas reservoir. It is dominated by abnormal low pressure and low pressure and rare high pressure. It is currently the low-pressure gas field with the largest proven reserves in China. On the basis of knowing the abnormal formation pressure and the characteristics of the gas reservoirs in the Sulige gas field, the reason for the formation of abnormal low pressure in the Sulige gas field is analyzed. It is believed that the pore volume increase and temperature decrease caused by uplift and denudation of the strata are the dominant factors for the formation of abnormal low pressure. The role of natural gas loss also contributes greatly to the depressurization process, but it is only a lateral loss and the densification of reservoirs is also one of the causes of abnormal low pressure.
