锅炉在运行中效果好坏,关键在于炉膛的燃烧温度,只有提高炉膛的燃烧温度,才能增强高温辐射和对流放热,减少化学和机械未燃烧损失,提高锅炉的热效率。要想提高炉膛温度,除了保障煤的燃烧空间、时间和供风外,还在于炉膛拱的合理设计和改造。锅炉炉拱,一般有前拱、后拱,对于蒸汽锅炉,因炉内蒸汽温度高,用较短较高的拱就可保障煤的燃烧。但热水锅炉,因炉内水的温度低,若采用苏汽锅炉同样的拱就不合适了。
