Since ancient times, Shanxi has been known as the “coal sea,” enjoying the reputation of China’s coal base and being one of the major energy bases for China’s Sihua construction. Shanxi is rich in coal resources, complete coal types, excellent coal quality, stable coal resources, shallow burial, gentle inclination, easy exploitation, and investment equivalent productivity construction is equivalent to 1/3 to 2/3 of other provinces and cities. According to the survey, Shanxi’s recently proven reserves account for one-third of the country’s total and 108 counties across the province. In the city, more than 80% have coal mines. In 1984, Shanxi’s coal production accounted for about 1/3 of the country’s total. The development of coal production must have mechanical equipment adapted to coal development, and the level of coal production mechanization is one of the important symbols of the level of the coal industry.
