系列红肥桃是山东省肥城市肥桃研究所在1996年4月与中国科学院植物研究所合作,运用生物技术育成的4个肥桃新品种,连续几年坐果观察,结果性状稳定。2002年8月24日山东省果树所、泰安科委、山东农大、地区林业局通过鉴定,专家们一致认为红肥桃1号、2号、3号、4号其颜色鲜艳,个头特大,含糖量高,硬脆耐贮运,是目前十分难得的桃中珍品。
