Through his life, Jack London has created six works on the images of Chinese and Chinese immigrants, both on the vilification of China and on the understanding and sympathy of China. Although he can not escape the shadow of racism, his more rational thinking and more objective description make him a tremendous contribution to China and to the exchange of Chinese and Western cultures. This article will explore his reasons for the positive and negative images of Chinese immigrants from Jack London’s own psychological factors and the social and historical context in which he lives.
