新垦沙棘1号是从沙棘品种乌兰沙林自然实生苗中选育的沙棘新品种。果实卵圆形,平均百粒果重63.4 g,最大单果重1.2 g,深橘黄色,果顶有红晕;鲜果总糖含量7.14%,总酸含量0.65%,维生素C含量2 814.00 mg/kg,总黄酮含量1 680.00 mg/kg,水分含量83.50%;晾干果实,果肉粗脂肪含量4.68%,维生素E含量78.90 mg/kg,β-胡萝卜素含量268.10 mg/kg,总黄酮含量753.40 mg/kg,总氨基酸含量2 779.50 mg/kg,水分含量6.70%;种子粗脂肪含量14.64%,粗蛋白质含量26.18%,维生素E含量185.50 mg/kg,β-胡萝卜素含量332.60 mg/kg,总黄酮含量27.90mg/kg,总氨基酸含量143.80 mg/kg,水分含量6.17%;在新疆北疆地区,果实8月上旬成熟。2010年12月通过新疆维吾尔自治区林木良种审定委员会认定。
