“True ” is an important aspect of Zhuangzi’s philosophical system. Zhuangzi’s theory of “nobleness” as the philosophical source of Lao Tzu and “Baby”, in essence, embodies an ideal of individual life which is real, Naive, and true; it shows the return to natural truth, The negation of humanity is also a refutation of Confucian ritual music culture. At the same time, this idea is universally accepted by later generations of literary writers. Therefore, “True ” has thus become the basic measure of the quality of a piece of work and has also had a profound and far-reaching impact on the development of ancient Chinese literary theory. This article intends to make some sorts and discussions on Zhuangzi’s idea of “being true”.
