高中英语第一册Unit 6lesson22有这样一句话:Notall the parts of the car will bemade in the factory．(并不是所有的汽车部件都在这家工厂制造)。此句涉及到部分否定。所谓“部分否定”,即为“肯定一部分,否定一部分”。现就英语中的“部分否定”表达总结如下:1．否定词not与all、each、every及every的合成代词everything、everybody等连用时,表示对三个或三个以上的人或物的部分否定。具体表达为:1)not all…(或all…not…)意为“并非全部都……”、“并不是所有的……”如:Not all the people here are fond of music = All the people here are not fond ofmusic．这里并非所有的人都喜欢音乐。
