The history of experimental atherosclerosis in rabbits caused by feeding cholesterol has been an important method for studying atherosclerosis in humans. However, in the feeding process, whether rabbits have developed atherosclerosis or not? How severe is it? There is no simple and reliable indicator so far, which makes animal experiments more difficult. The literature reports that in rabbits with experimental atherosclerosis, there was cholesterol deposition in both the cornea and the iris. When we observed the effect of coronary ketone on experimental atherosclerosis in rabbits, we found that the cornea and iris had yellow-white infiltration, especially the iris. In order to understand the relationship between these changes and hypercholesterolemia, and to explore whether changes in the iris can be used as an experimental artery in judging rabbits
